Netanyahu accuses Carney of attacking Israel after exchange with heckler on 'genocide'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Liberal Leader Mark Carney of attacking Israel for appearing to endorse a protestor’s claim of a “genocide” of Palestinians in Gaza. Carney responded that he was only aware of the situation in Gaza and supported an arms embargo. Netanyahu criticized Carney for not supporting Israel and urged him to retract his statement, prompting Carney to suspend his election campaign and return to Ottawa.
