Nepali guide found alive after six days missing on Mount Everest

Dawa Sherpa, a 52-year-old Nepali Sherpa guide who went missing on Mount Everest, was found alive after six days, crawling towards base camp. Rescued by a clearing crew, he was airlifted to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu, where his wife and daughter, who had begun funeral rituals, learned he was alive. Dawa was last seen on May 29, and a delayed search effort had initially left his family fearing the worst.
