Over 200 people have died in Nepal due to extreme weather conditions during the monsoon season, with heavy rain leading to devastating floods in eastern and central Nepal, including the hard-hit Kathmandu Valley. As of October 2, the government reported 224 confirmed deaths, over 150 injuries, and 24 missing persons. The floods have also caused significant damage to homes, power plants, and roads in the affected areas.
