Fossil Named After Shakira by Fans

The director of the Tatacoa Natural History Museum highlighted Shakira’s significance in Colombia and her support for education as reasons for the naming. This discovery follows other recent findings in Colombia, including evidence of a giant “terror bird” being predated upon.
