Two senior police leaders, including former deputy commissioner Tania Kura, visited Jevon McSkimming during his trial for possessing child sexual exploitation and bestiality material, to which he pleaded guilty earlier this month. A report from the Independent Police Conduct Authority revealed serious misconduct at high levels regarding the police’s response to separate allegations against McSkimming. Police Commissioner Richard Chambers referenced a meeting with Kura after learning of her visit to McSkimming amid the charges.
