New TVNZ quiz show and 6pm news ratings competition

TVNZ is set to launch a local adaptation of the British quiz show Tipping Point, with production scheduled to begin in Auckland in April. The show aims to capitalize on its success in Australia, where it has surpassed The Chase in ratings. Various celebrities have been approached to participate in the pilot season, under the direction of seasoned TV producer John McDonald.
