Rescuers in Myanmar pulled a man alive from the rubble five days after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake killed at least 2,886 people and left thousands homeless. Calls are growing for the military government to allow more aid in and halt attacks on rebels, as armed groups have suspended hostilities to focus on quake recovery. Despite the military promising to continue defensive activities, the United Nations and other organizations are urging all sides to prioritize helping those affected by the devastating earthquake.

Plan to improve dentistry has comprehensively failed and it’s actually getting worse, MPs warn
