HD KSOE confirms Angolan suezmax orders

HD Hyundai Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) has secured a deal with Sonangol for two suezmax tanker newbuildings, with delivery expected by end-May 2027 for $176m. Sonangol will add the vessels to its fleet, which currently consists of 15 tankers and five gas carriers, with additional suezmaxes from HD Hyundai Samho. In a separate deal, Hanwha Ocean signed a $257m contract for two VLCCs for Evangelos Marinakis, set to be delivered in May 2027.
