Amy Sheppard, 29, received a 20-month suspended sentence for causing the deaths of her two sons, Louie, 8, and Mason, 6, in a head-on crash due to knowingly driving with an underinflated tire. The accident occurred on October 2, 2023, when her Vauxhall Astra fishtailed and collided with an Audi, resulting in serious injuries to its occupants. Judge James House acknowledged Sheppard’s remorse and the tragic nature of the incident while emphasizing her need for mental health treatment. She was also banned from driving for two years and ordered to undergo rehabilitation.
