A longstanding clothing retailer, Winfields Outdoors, has closed six of its seven stores after entering administration, leaving only its flagship location in Haslingden, Lancashire, operational. The closures, attributed to challenges from the pandemic and the cost of living crisis, have drawn lament from locals, as over 13,000 high street shops shut down in 2024 alone. Despite these setbacks, Winfields confirmed it will continue online sales, reassuring customers of its ongoing service amidst the difficult retail environment.
