The US television network has been building its own news division separate from NBC News, and will also remove NBC’s peacock symbol from its new logo.
MSNBC will rebrand as My Source News Opinion World (MS NOW) following its separation from NBC, removing the NBC logo and asserting its independence. The decision, made by NBC Universal, reflects the network’s desire to establish a distinct identity while maintaining its liberal editorial direction, despite previous assurances that the MSNBC name would remain.
