Doctors Without Borders reports that three of its aid workers were intentionally killed in Ethiopia’s Tigray region during the civil war.

In June 2021, MSF staff Maria Hernandez, Yohannes Halefom Reda, and Tedros Gebremariam were shot dead in a targeted attack, with the organization accusing the Ethiopian government of failing to investigate the killings adequately despite evidence that they were deliberate and not a result of crossfire.
