9News has been granted exclusive access to Operation Whiskey Legion, a police operation in Queensland targeting criminal activity in the South Brisbane district, resulting in the arrest of 420 individuals on over 1000 charges. The operation, which includes the implementation of Jack’s Law allowing police to search individuals for knives without a warrant, has already confiscated over a thousand knives from the streets. This crackdown on knife crime has led to the arrest of 149 people on 414 charges, with recent seizures in public places like a shopping center and train station, highlighting the need for public safety and awareness.
