Montreal aims to stop fluoridating West Island water in 2025

The city of Montreal plans to cease adding fluoride to the tap water in the West Island by 2025, affecting over 143,000 residents in several municipalities. However, at least one municipality is dissatisfied with this proposal and is pushing back against the change. If approved by the agglomeration council, the decision will impact the water quality for a significant portion of the population in the West Island.
