Moffat joins growing number of water-related solar power schemes

A solar scheme worth £307,000 in Moffat, Dumfriesshire, has installed 324 ground mounted PV panels at a borehole site to power water pumps for a treatment works. Generating 0.14GWh of green energy annually, enough to boil over 622,000 kettles over a year, the project was led by Scottish Water Horizons.
