Modi’s reaction to Epstein files triggers global controversy.

The latest release of documents related to the US Justice Department investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has caused global political turmoil by featuring the names of world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The documents reveal conversations between Modi’s close associate, billionaire Anil Ambani, and Epstein discussing setting up meetings for Modi with top US officials, including Trump. Modi eventually visited Israel in 2017, becoming the first Indian PM to do so, and subsequently strengthened India’s defence partnership with Israel despite historical ties to the Palestinian cause. Ambani’s Reliance Defence Ltd also formed a joint venture with an Israeli state defence group.
