Vietnam’s Mockingbird Pictures is launching international sales on a slate of Indonesian and Vietnamese horror films at Hong Kong Filmart, tapping into the growing horror trend in both markets. The company has acquired rights to Indonesian films Sukma, The Butterfly House, and The Damnation, while handling sales on Vietnamese films including the sequel to Betting With Ghost. Mockingbird’s move into international sales follows its success as a leading distributor of foreign movies in Vietnam, with last year’s releases grossing a combined $30m.
