A travelling planetarium has been launched in South Africa, supported by a R1.3 million donation from Amazon, to provide immersive space science and virtual reality experiences to rural schoolchildren. The Iziko Mobile Planetarium features an inflatable dome for 360-degree digital storytelling and includes 10 virtual reality headsets, allowing students to explore astronomy aligned with their school curricula.
