Mississippi’s Longest-Serving Death Row Inmate Scheduled for Execution

Richard Gerald Jordan, Mississippi’s longest-serving death row inmate, is set to be executed on June 25, following a ruling by the state Supreme Court. Jordan, 78, was sentenced to death in 1976 for the kidnapping and murder of Edwina Marter and has exhausted all appeals.
