Nearly a year after the search for a family of four from Texas, who went missing when their boat capsized in Kachemak Bay, Alaska, was suspended, the vessel and human remains were discovered by private search companies using sonar technology. The Maynard family, including Mary (37), David (42), and their two sons, Colton (11) and Brantley (8), were reported missing in August, prompting a search by the U.S. Coast Guard that ultimately proved unsuccessful. The recovered remains are now at the State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification, while a GoFundMe has raised over $21,000 in their memory.
