A committee of MPs urged Britain to learn from Ukraine’s use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the battlefield against Russia, highlighting the effectiveness of AI technology in drones and combat analysis. The report emphasized that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) needs to prioritize the development of AI capabilities to avoid falling behind, with a member of the committee stressing the importance of integrating AI into the MoD’s operations and mindset. The MPs called for a transformation of the MoD into an “AI-native” organization, recognizing AI as essential for problem-solving and achieving objectives in defense.
