In an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Mina Smallman, the mother of murdered sisters Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry, expressed disappointment with the Metropolitan Police’s apology following the imprisonment of two officers for sharing photos of her daughters’ bodies. The sisters were killed in a park in Wembley in June 2020, with their murderer, Danyal Hussein, sentenced to a minimum of 35 years. Former Met constables Deniz Jaffer and Jamie Lewis were jailed for sharing photos of the sisters, referring to them as “dead birds” in messaging groups.
