Millions to get Child Benefit payments early after Easter bank holiday date change

Millions of families in the UK will receive their Child Benefit payments earlier this month due to the upcoming Easter bank holidays on April 18 and April 21. Child Benefit, which provides financial support to parents or guardians for children under 16 and those under 20 in approved education, is not means-tested and is paid approximately every four weeks. This year, payments for Child Benefit, Universal Credit, and other benefits like Personal Independence Payment and State Pension will be made on Thursday instead of the usual bank holiday schedule, but recipients should expect a longer wait for their next payment.
