Migrants stranded in Mexico as appointments to enter US cancelled

Migrants from around the world arrived at northern Mexico border crossings with hopes of legally entering the US, only to have their appointments cancelled after President Trump took office. The CBP One app, used to facilitate entry for nearly one million people since January 2023, was suddenly discontinued, leaving many in despair. The return of the “remain in Mexico” policy will force thousands of asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for US immigration court hearings.
