Chelsea, Michigan — In Chelsea, a town of about 5,000 residents, Michelle Tuplin, the owner of Serendipity Books, faced the challenge of relocating her bookstore with around 9,000 books. To tackle the logistics, she organized a volunteer effort akin to a bucket brigade, which resulted in over 300 community members coming together to help with the move, creating a heartwarming display of unity. This experience not only helped Tuplin successfully transport her books but also reinforced her faith in the goodness of people amidst a divided society.
