Michael Cera, acclaimed for his performances in Barbie, Superbad, and Arrested Development, will make his directorial debut with the comedy Love is Not the Answer, featuring Pamela Anderson, Steve Coogan, Fred Hechinger, and Jamie Dornan. The film, described as an absurdist comedy exploring modern loneliness and connection, has a script penned by Cera and is set to be launched at the Cannes Film Festival. Cera will also be attending Cannes as part of the cast for Wes Anderson’s ensemble film The Phoenician Scheme, alongside stars like Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson.
