Mexico arrests suspect who transported partner of El Mencho before capture

Mexican authorities have arrested Jose N, known as “El Pepe,” a suspected drug trafficker linked to the recent raid that resulted in the death of notorious drug lord Nemesio Oseguera, alias “El Mencho.” Oseguera, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, was killed on February 22 during a military operation. Following his death, CJNG members orchestrated violent protests across Mexico, and over 70 people, including 25 National Guard troops, died in related clashes.
