Mexican finance minister, a holdover from previous administration, resigns and is replaced by deputy

Mexican Finance Secretary Rogelio Ramírez de la O resigned for personal reasons and will be replaced by his deputy, Edgar Amador Zamora, as announced by President Claudia Sheinbaum. Ramírez de la O had been in office since July 2021, tasked with stabilizing the economy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and reducing Mexico’s debt.
