These companies have filed formal complaints to the European Commission, citing vague and inconsistent reasons for the removal or restriction of women’s health content, such as menopause, endometriosis, and infertility. The anti-censorship campaign group CensHERship has provided evidence of medically accurate content being labeled as ‘adult’ or ‘political’, calling for an investigation into the platforms’ moderation policies to ensure that women can freely discuss their health using anatomically correct language.
