Met Éireann issues wind alert for six counties – The Irish Times

A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal from 3am on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday, with strong westerly winds and large coastal waves expected. The UK Met Office has also issued a yellow wind warning for Antrim, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry from 7am on Saturday until midnight on Sunday, warning of potential transport disruption. While windy conditions will persist throughout the weekend, Christmas day is expected to be mild with temperatures reaching 12 degrees, ruling out the possibility of a white Christmas.
