Lionel Messi has begun individual training sessions as he recovers from left hamstring muscle fatigue ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The defending champions, Argentina, held their first practice in Kansas City, with Messi expected to be fit for their opening match against Algeria on June 16. The Argentine Football Association reported that players with injuries are progressing well under the guidance of the physiotherapy team. Argentina’s final preparation match is against Iceland on June 9.
