The Mendon softball team made history by securing its fourth consecutive regional championship on Saturday. The Hornets achieved come-from-behind victories against Bridgman (6-3) and Gobles (6-5), marking the first time in school history that a team has qualified for four straight quarterfinal appearances. Over the past four years, the senior group has amassed a total of 137 wins. In the first game against Bridgman, after trailing 3-0, Mendon rallied with a strong seventh-inning performance to tie the game and eventually win in extra innings. In the regional final against Gobles, the team overcame a 5-2 deficit, scoring four unanswered runs to secure the championship. Senior pitcher Rowan Allen excelled throughout the day, striking out 20 batters combined in both games.
