In August 2013, Chelsea Cicio received a call from her father, Bruno Rocuba, informing her of a tragic accident involving her mother, Melissa Rocuba, who had been shot in the head. Bruno claimed he accidentally shot her while cleaning his gun, resulting in Melissa being airlifted to the hospital, where she later died after life support was removed. In the aftermath, doubts arose among Melissa’s daughters and sister about Bruno’s account, particularly due to his request for them to clean the crime scene and dispose of Melissa’s belongings. Despite the family’s suspicions, the district attorney did not charge Bruno, citing insufficient evidence to prove a crime.
