The city of Melbourne was electrified as AC/DC kicked off their Power Up Tour at the MCG, drawing nearly 80,000 fans who had eagerly awaited a decade for the band’s return. Earlier, a world record of 374 bagpipers paid homage to the rock legends at Federation Square. Each concert utilizes 500kw of power and requires substantial logistics, including 300 tons of steel and a 155-member crew. Following the Melbourne show, the tour will continue through Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth, with Amyl and the Sniffers as support.
