Melanie Andrews shared her heart-wrenching story of losing her 15-month-old daughter, Mylee, to sudden unexplained death, later revealed to be due to an undiagnosed immune condition. Motivated to prevent other families from experiencing similar pain, she pursued a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and is now researching links between bacteria and childhood deaths as part of her PhD at the University of Western Australia.
