The Tennessee high school boys basketball season concluded over a month ago, yet the state’s top players continue to receive accolades. The 2026 Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) has announced the All-State boys basketball team across six classifications of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA). Notable selections in Class 1A include Camden Cole from Eagleville and Will McCrary from Jackson County. In Class 2A, standout players like Jayden Barton of Gatlinburg-Pittman and Derrick Roberson of Chattanooga Prep made the list. Class 3A features players such as Ty Cobb from Upperman and Bryson Maddox from Clinton, while Class 4A includes Justin Frison from Germantown Houston and D.J. Okoth from Bartlett. Additionally, Division II-A highlights Lawson Lee from Battle Ground Academy and in Division II-AA, Cade Murphy from Knox Catholic is recognized.

Why It Matters

The TSWA All-State selections showcase the achievements of high school basketball players in Tennessee, highlighting their performance and contributions during the season. Recognizing top players can impact their future opportunities, including scholarships and recruitment for collegiate basketball programs. The emphasis on high school sports is significant for community engagement, as local athletes often inspire younger players and foster school spirit. Historical trends indicate that strong performances at the high school level can lead to successful college careers, influencing the landscape of basketball talent in the state.
