Rory McIlroy finished the third round of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai tied for the lead at 13-under 203 with Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, following three birdies in his last five holes. Tyrrell Hatton and five others trail by one shot, with Hatton being the only player capable of overtaking McIlroy in the Race to Dubai. McIlroy hopes to secure his seventh title as Europe’s No. 1 and further close the gap on Colin Montgomerie’s record. Neergaard-Petersen, aiming for a top ten finish to earn a PGA Tour card, expressed excitement about playing in the final group with McIlroy.
