Abbie McDonough reflects on her childhood memories of campaigning with her late grandmother, former NDP leader Alexa McDonough, by knocking on doors together. Volunteering in this spring’s campaign in her grandma’s former Halifax riding has provided Abbie with an opportunity to honor and connect with her grandmother’s political legacy. Through this experience, Abbie embraces the importance of continuing her grandmother’s work in the community.
