Pakistan faced a major injury scare during the opening game of Champions Trophy 2025 as star batter Fakhar Zaman injured himself while fielding. Zaman was assessed for a muscular sprain and had to leave the field twice during the match. Pakistan had a boost with fast bowler Haris Rauf declared fit to play, while New Zealand had fitness concerns with Rachin Ravindra missing out due to a head injury.
