California Police Arrest 2 Suspects for $100K Handbag Theft

California officials announced the arrest of two individuals after they attempted to steal nearly $100,000 worth of luxury handbags from a retail store in Irvine. Security staff alerted police to the burglary, and heavily armed officers were able to apprehend the suspects, identified as Richard Bernard Spencer and Marcellus Ronell Shelby. The suspects were caught on surveillance footage trying to flee with the stolen items before being found hiding in office spaces. The suspects were arrested on charges of burglary, grand theft, conspiracy, vandalism, and resisting arrest, with the stolen handbags returned to the victim.
