Mary Ward, a mother-of-one from Belfast, died from a neck laceration at her home, allegedly at the hands of her former partner Ahmed Abdirahman, who was arrested in Dublin and charged with her murder. Abdirahman, originally from Somalia, was denied bail due to flight risk concerns and is scheduled to appear in court again on November 15th. The accused had a turbulent relationship with Ward, and evidence linking him to the crime scene was presented in court, leading to the judge’s decision to keep him in custody.
