Shane Tamura, 27, who killed four people at a Manhattan office tower before taking his own life, had a history of mental health issues, including depression and insomnia, and was reportedly suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). His mother had previously called 911 expressing concerns about his suicidal threats and mental state, leading to hospitalizations prior to the tragic shooting.
