Casemiro opened the scoring before Ross Barkley equalized for Villa, but Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko secured the win for United, who are now three points ahead of Villa in the Champions League race. Fernandes also surpassed David Beckham’s club record for assists in a single Premier League season.
