Sean Jefferson, 34, and Amy Leigh Clark, 33, have been charged with the murder of a five-week-old baby, along with several other serious charges, including causing or allowing the death of a child and grievous bodily harm with intent. The couple appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre and has been remanded in custody, with a scheduled appearance at Stafford Crown Court on June 11. Staffordshire Police confirmed the charges in a brief statement.
