A woman was targeted on a Merseyrail commuter train from Formby to Liverpool when a stranger attempted to set her hair on fire. The incident occurred on November 7 during rush hour, after the man boarded the train at Waterloo station. A nearby passenger alerted the victim, and the suspect disembarked at Bootle New Strand. A 37-year-old Liverpool man has since been arrested on suspicion of common assault, and police are seeking witnesses to assist with the investigation.
