US Capitol Police arrested an 18-year-old man armed with a shotgun after he ran towards the Capitol Building from a parked SUV. The suspect, wearing a tactical vest and gloves, had additional ammunition and equipment like a Kevlar helmet and gas mask in the vehicle. Police are investigating the motive, including whether he targeted members of Congress, who were not in session. The man is not known to authorities and the vehicle was not registered to him.
