Joshua Martinez charged with murder of Victoria Marquina

California authorities have arrested 28-year-old Joshua Martinez in connection with the 2019 disappearance of 17-year-old Victoria Marquina. Initially a suspect, Martinez was released due to insufficient evidence but has now been charged with murder, statutory rape, and other sex offenses. Victoria was last seen on October 9, 2019, with her phone pinging in San Joaquin County, and her abandoned car was found days later. If convicted, Martinez faces a potential life sentence.
