Denmark responds to Trump’s interest in Greenland

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Military veteran Flemming Almind participated in his first protest against the Trump administration’s attempt to acquire Greenland, joining around 10,000 Danes in a demonstration featuring signs like “Make America Go Away.” Protesters voiced concerns over Trump’s rhetoric and its impact on U.S.-Denmark relations, especially as a bipartisan U.S. congressional delegation visited Copenhagen to express solidarity. Greenlandic representatives emphasized that “Greenland is not for sale,” reflecting the anxiety felt by their communities.
