A massive explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port in southern Iran on Saturday resulted in five fatalities and over 700 injuries, with the blast likely caused by a fire at a hazmat storage depot. The explosion, felt up to 50 kilometers away, severely damaged port buildings and triggered ongoing fires that rescuers struggled to extinguish due to strong winds. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ordered an investigation, while reports indicated that three Chinese nationals were lightly injured and local medical centers called for blood donations.
