Mahli Beardman performs well in Australian debut against Pakistan

In his T20 international debut, WA’s Mahli Beardman nearly achieved a hat-trick, taking 2-33 as Australia restricted Pakistan to 8-168 in Lahore. Just days after winning the Big Bash League title with the Perth Scorchers, the 20-year-old faced a rocky start but rebounded impressively. Adam Zampa excelled with 4-24, marking his best figures in 109 matches. Beardman, a rising star, had previously helped Australia win the U19 World Cup and was selected for the Prime Minister’s XI match against India in 2024-25.
